Our 2-hour long immersive art and storytelling experience is the perfect addition to any educational setting, providing children and teens with a unique opportunity to explore their creativity, expand their imaginations, and develop essential language and literacy skills.

Gallery Tales field trips are a playful mix of art, imagination, and storytelling. In just two hours, kids explore a real gallery, hunt for details through a creative scavenger hunt, and write their own story inspired by the art they choose. It’s hands-on, kid-driven, and full of moments that spark joy and confidence in young writers.

Kate is a North Carolina certified educator with 10 years of classroom teaching experience. She is passionate about fostering creativity and supporting children's development. With a strong background in education and working with children, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every Gallery Tales session.

Gallery Tales provides a dynamic platform for students to engage with both visual art and the written word, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation for the arts.
During this 2-hour field trip, learners will slow down, tune in, and let the artwork lead them into a world of their own making. Through playful prompts and guided reflection, students will walk away with an original story—and a deeper connection to their own voice.
Explore the Gallery
We begin with a creative scavenger hunt that invites curiosity and close observation
Each child chooses a piece of art that speaks to them
Prompts help them imagine character, setting, or story beginnings
Write the Story
Kids settle in with their chosen piece and begin to write
Kate guides them with gentle questions and story spark ideas
All writing tools provided (notebooks and pencil)
Share & Reflect
We close with a chance to share stories aloud (only if they want to!)
We honor the creative process and celebrate each voice
